GOODBYE

Treasure Box Designs

Hello SOUS fans! Today will be my last post with Stuck on U Sketches. I want to take a moment to thank a wonderful team for allowing me the opportunity to explore my creativity and bring it up to a new level. There were definitely times I wanted to pull my hair out for having to think outside the box, and then those turned into some of my best work.

So, ladies of the die cut team, here is my farewell card to you! Am I being sentimental? *sniff* Note the phrase "not all those who wander are lost". I purposely made sure that was visible on the card. I promise to not be a stranger and participate often in challenges!

This week we are to use a die cut BIRD on our project. Of course I used Treasure Box Designs "Tiny Treasure Bird".

Thanks for stopping by today!! In case you are wondering, I will continue to be on the design team for Treasure Box Designs.

Supplies:
MME: Follow Your Heart: Be Amazing
Scallop Die Cut from My Craft Spot

Everyday is a Story

Treasure Box Designs

Hello!! Today I would like to share with a my latest layout of my kid of course!! I have a LOT of pictures printed of random day to day stuff of my child but can't seem to find the energy or time to scrap each one individually. (As you may know, I usually scrap single pic LO's).

Anyway, these random pics work well together cause he's wearing orange is every picture!!! It was a no brainer and relatively easy to pick out EP's All About a Boy PP for this LO. I followed this sketch for the layout.

At this age, he was transitioning from toddlerhood to little boy. There were days he did not take a nap and there were days that sleep found him!! LOL He was (and still is) interested in anything in the gadget department. As you can see, he's got something in his hands in every picture, including the one where he's taking a nap.

I could have used some form of a "tool teddy" for this LO, but really wanted to use the title "Everyday is a Story" instead. I believe it fits just the same.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Yes, I made the title smaller than the "original size".
The bear really is as small as he looks!

SOUS: Die Cut Flower

Treasure Box Designs
Hello SOUS fans! For this Friday's challenge we are to make a die cut "flower" on our project. Today I am sharing with you a card I made for my mom. I know it's a week late, but *shrugs*. I had so MANY ideas for this particular project, I couldn't keep them straight in my head.

Of course, I just HAD to use the Teddy Bear file and Garden Girl outfit from Treasure Box Designs!! I followed one of my favorite sketches at Mojo Monday - number 259. I think I have used that sketch 3 times already!! It just "works" with the teddy bears.

"Boo Bear"

Treasure Box Designs

Hello again!!! I'm so happy to be sharing with you my new "favorite" layout of my little boy. There is so much that I love about this layout that I may get a little "talky" on this blog. You should know I don't normally get chatty . . .

Now, you must understand that I've been hanging onto this picture of my son for quite some time. It's one of my favorites of him and I've been waiting for all the right "elements" to show up in my scrappy room. Echo Park's "All About A Boy" definitely hit the "spot" for GREAT paper as well as the new Treasure Box Designs' Boy oh Boy Tear Teddies!

What took the longest time deciding what to do with this layout was the title. Go figures. Finally, I decided to actually use my son's nickname, which is not something I've done before.

I followed this sketch from sketchy Thursdays that I pinned quite a while back.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Hope you are inspired!

A LOT of my son's layouts end up with a blue and orange theme!
A closer look at the title and TBD bear cluster
mixed with brads and buttons. I used button brads
on the bear's overalls.
Just a closer look at the right side of
this layout.
For the bears overalls I used EP's denim jeans
PP from the collection All About A Boy.

SOUS Die Cut Challenge: Use the word "Mom"

Hello SOUS fans!! It's Friday and time for our die cut challenge! For this challenge, we are to use a die cut with the word 'Mom' or the silhouette of a woman/mom.

I personally found this challenge easy cause I had the perfect picture of my mother to use for this challenge. The great thing about challenges is that they "force" me to work on photos and events that I keep putting off. If you have been following me for a while, you'll know this is my first frilly LO in quite a while.

Now, for the word . . . what to use?? Well, I went hunting! It didn't take much effort to find the PERFECT lettering at SVGCUTS. I was also GREATLY inspired by Melinda Sparks LO at 'the scrap farm'.  I fell in love with the brick background! I did have to fussy cut the bricks - not my favorite thing to do - but it all worked out.

I personally handmade all the flowers except the top pink flower. It came from a woman who talent I greatly admire. You can find her here.

I tried to make this LO with my mother in mind with just a touch of my personal style. My mom is a music teacher (the bricks are music notes), she loves flowers, bling, pink, and furniture that has curves and swirls built into it (hence the swirly frame). My personal touch is that I LOVE negative space on LO's and use stitching on nearly every LO and card I make.

Well I guess that about sums it up!! Thanks for stopping by today!

This photo of my mom was taken by me in May 2012.
This day was the first step of my budding photograph skills.

I used Liquid Pearls' White Opal on the die cut for extra pizazz!

Handmade flowers, bling, stitching, leaves
and a dragonfly charm make up this cluster.

The frame is a die cut from Cricut: Sentimentals.
Again I used Liquid Pearls on the frame to give it more beauty.
