SOUS DIE CUT CHALLENGE: IN THE WATER

Hello there and welcome! Today's post features SOUS Die Cut challenge: In the Water. LOVE the open-ended challenge this week cause the possibilities are endless!!!

For me, I chose the die cut layout from SVGCUTS. Super, super easy. I cut out most of the items provided in their file and added a few embellishments of my own.

Photos are from our vacation at Clearwater Beach, FL in 2010. We were there in September while it was still hot but the beach was practically abandoned on a weekday. Best time to go!!

Go check out what the rest of our fabulous team put together for your inspiration!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

SOUS Die Cut Challenge: Animal

Hello! This week's Friday challenge at SOUS is to make a die cut ANIMAL (any of your choice).

I LOVE making animals and have a ton of files to choose from. The rabbit is from Treasure Box Designs.

I actually made this card as a request for someone who wanted to give something special to her parents. This is also great as a baby card, Easter, or anything else you can think of.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Please check out what the rest of our fabulous DT members have come up with for your inspiration.

Family Always

Today we took our exchange student, Tobias, to the airport. It was bittersweet for everyone. Tears, hugs and "well wishes" can't really begin to sum up the last 10 months. He is ready to go home . . . he wants to stay . . . All of our hearts are a little broken.

We have laughed with him. We have been frustrated and angry. We have loved and protected him for nearly a year. He has been our German teenage son and a wonderful brother to Joscelin.

We love you!!!

We will miss him so very much.

Usually I am behind the camera. So this very rare picture of all four of us is precious to me personally.

I am not big with gushy words so I will leave you with this layout. I express myself thru scrapbooking and sometimes even that is not enough.

I used April's Hip Kit Club for this layout with a few extra embellishments from my stash.

Thank you stopping by today.

For more photos please stop by my photography blog as well.

a great day

I have recently been greatly inspired by the "Hip Kit Club" and especially Ashley Horton. It SHOWS that she has fun making scrapbook pages. I want to be like her when I grow up!! LOL

Nearly everything you see here came from the August 2013 kit. I added my own title from Silhouette Studio and brads for a little "shine".

I followed this sketch from "MyScrapsandmore".

On a personal note, this "day" was actually wonderful. Sunny skies, warm weather without the humidity and delicious strawberries. My photography was very much in the beginning phase at this point. I think I was still tripping around manual mode (if I was even that far).

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Orange/white twine is from my stash.

The brads are actually copper colored.
