Winter Gift Basket

Hello! I made this gift basket using Dreaming Tree's "Give a Gift" bundle. I signed up for the
Adopt-A-Staff program at my son's school. So every month every single person
working at the school receives a gift from his/her anonymous person.

Every month includes January . . . that weird month we all forget about.
Babies are still being born, people still need encouragement and it's
definitely still winter. So out came all those beautiful winter "blues" for
this gift basket, AND my person loves angels.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY TODAY!!!

Basket was made using Bazzil shimmer cardstock and Bobunny's Sleigh Ride collection.

Altered Bird House

For Christmas my son bought me a wooden birdhouse to "play" with using all my fun supplies. I thought I was going to make a winter themed house but this project took on a life of it's own by directing me towards pink. Pink! The only pink I have in my stash is in the Sweet Treats spray set by Lindy's Stamp Gang. So I bought Prima Marketing SPARKS acrylic paint "Butterfly Spells" for extra effect and . . . . more pink.

I also found this fabulous challenge group called Art Playground and what do you know!? Here is this month's challenge.

Guess I really wanted more "girly and pink" than winter and blue.

Without further ado, here it is. Hope it inspires you!!!!

Most of my stash of color is from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I do tend to lean more towards
the spray and embossing powders than the magicals. I find them perplexing.

Coming up with a design was just a matter of combing thru my stash and
learning how to play with foamiran for handmade flowers.

When playing with 3D objects, be sure to hit all the corners and sides.
It will not feel complete otherwise.

Adding numbers (Thickers) for texture was inspiration from one of many
videos I've watched in regards to mixed media.

I'm slowly building my stash of "fillers". They seem to be essential
to buildingmixed media pieces and adding interest and texture.

Dreamer Of Dreams

I'm not sure where to start. I was greatly inspired by Lisa Griffith's  page on her November post. I was also greatly inspired by the DT member Mary Tzalla's page for this challenge.

I did make this page for two challenges, both of whom compliment each other.

I adore blues and browns together, mixed with shiny metallic objects. For Creative Embellishments it was the snowflakes and pinecones all the way! I have listed all supplies used at the end of the post.

I am still attempting to "perfect" my mixed media style. I like combining different textures without a lot of interference from me. Meaning I like the metals mixed with delicate flowers combination.

The chipboard pieces are all layered with embossing powder and opal wax.

I wish I had a better photo of the key mold. The design really latched on to the opal wax after applying blue sprays to the piece.

Thank you for stopping by today!!!

Christmas Tree

Hello!! Today I would like to share with you my latest page using HipKitClub December's main kit.

I have been stalking them for years and I have finally decided to take the plunge to see where the kits lead me. I have two styles I like to play with, one is with bright colors and large die cuts and the other is mixed media.

I am hoping that HipKits encourage my lighter side to come out more. Although I have plenty of paper in my stash, most of it is not recent or just scraps left from other projects.

Without further ado, here is my lighter side using an exclusive cut file by HipKit. I did use SN@P Basics wooden paper for my background.

THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY TODAY!!

Scrap The Boys: Summer

Hello and welcome to 2019!!!!! I'm happy to say that I will be continuing my journey with Scrap The Boys for the next 6 months. Without further ado, here is the challenge.

Scrap The Boys is based out of Australia and right now it is experiencing summer. I was hugely inspired by "HeyElsie" work on her Instagram page.

The large sun in the background can be found at the Silhouette store. I made "summer" using SCAL4 and lots of cursing and yelling at my computer to "just do it". LOL . . . it's a learning curve.

I used a combination of Echo Park and Lori Whitlock paper (a few years old) for this layout.
