LGS: Dream Big

Hello and welcome. Today I'm sharing with you my layout interpretation of this week's Let Get Sketchy! Hop on over to see the sketch and what else our fabulous team has cooked up for your inspiration.

This is one of my favorite photos of my son. It was taken at a time when he still let me take pictures although I had to do a lot of "directing" to not get such a weirdo shot.

I actually told him to put his hands together, look down and think about his favorite dream. It worked.

Without further ado, here it is.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

LGS: Dreamer

It's time for a new sketch this week over at Let's Get Sketchy!!

Triangles can be so fun to work with - practically a classic.

I took this photo a little over 2 years ago. I'm not 100% satisfied with the title, but I could not find anything else suitable.

I'll leave it to you to decide who the "dreamer" is ... :)

Head on over to Let's Get Sketchy to see what else our fabulous team came up with for this week's sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Let's Get Sketchy: Seriously Awesome!

Hello there! Welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing with you my layout using this week's sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!

Truth . . . I've been holding onto this photo for quite a while trying to come up with the perfect paper to use with it. My son is young and boisterous here. Only loud "boy" colors would do.

My sister and I recently found a local scrapbook store . . . went shopping . . . and the rest is history.

Hop on over to Let's Get Sketchy to see what else our fabulous team came up with.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Let's Get Sketchy: JOY

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today is my reveal day for joining the "Let's Get Sketchy" DT!! I am very excited about this opportunity and hope you will join me this quarter as I show you more projects than ever before!

Thanks for stopping by today!

January Team A Week 2

I actually wanted to go with a more "loud" title. It was bitterly cold
at the time of this photo (November 2013), but no snow yet. It was actually foretelling
because it turned out to be a frigid, snowy and icy winter for us.
Supplies:
Paper:
--BoBunny's "Sleigh Ride" - paper and stickers
Black Twine
Metal Snowflakes
Dymo Label

Darling

Did I ever mention that I have a fabulous sister? Well . . . I do. Just saying.

Lots going on with this scrapbook page. Not only did I make the page and follow "Let's Get Sketchy" August Week 2 sketch, I'm also the photographer behind the actual photo of my sister. We had SO MUCH fun taking pictures that afternoon.

The second best part was making a feminine page. Most of you know I usually make "boy" layouts. I really do enjoy making paper flowers and reaching for bling for my pages. The trick is actually having girly papers in my stash to work with. Not to worry, I've been slowly building that up just for this occasion!

I'm also a huge fan of BoBunny. Thrilled to work with those papers again!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Flowers are handmade. Also tucked a little metal frame
behind the flowers.

Birdcage from CreativeEmbellishments

Yep, I fussy cut those butterflies. Not something I usually do.
