Thinking of You

I made this card for a dear friend and coworker whose father recently passed away.  She's an avid pet lover, especially dogs, so I reached for a Treasure Box Design puppy.  I followed a sketch by Mojo Monday.

The flower is handmade by me using the CC Mother's Day Bouquet.

I was going to add stitching to the card, but before I knew it I had it all glued down! I did add glossy accents to the eyes for extra effect.

I apologize for the mediocre picture.  I took this picture in a hurry with my iPhone.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:

PP: MME Reunion 6x6 pad
Stamp: My Craft Spot
Puppy: Treasure Box Designs
Pearls
Puppy Eyes: Glossy Accents
Flower: Cricut Cartridge Mother's Day Bouquet

Good to be scrappin' again!

Hey there!!

I'm back - from a crazy few months of not getting to make handmade "anything".  We sold our former home, lived in an R.V. for 2 months (hence my disappearance) while we waited to get into our new home.

It was NOT an adventure.  It was miserable and that's ALL I'm going to say about it.

So now for the scrappy sharing . . . I've made four thank you cards this past weekend.  Three are nearly identical but I love them just the same.  They were made for three different women whom I owe some big THANKS YOU'S.  These cards were inspired from one of my pins on Pinterest.  All the large flowers were handmade by me.  "Merci" is from the Cricut Cartridge Sentimentals. The fun border shape is from Spellbinders Parisian Accents.

PP is from MME Madison Avenue.

Close up of the handmade flower using Cricut Mother's Day Bouquet.

This flower is handmade from retro punches, both large and small sizes.
PP is MME Union Square.

PP is MME Market Street.

Happy Birthday, Little Sis!!!  Hope it's a good one!!

My little sister - best friend anyone could ask for.  She is the more 'girly' of the two of us, but she would say she's more goofy.  That is true but . . . in this picture she's peaceful.  She's happy even though she's in the back seat with two little boys.  I don't scrap much girly LO's so I definitely reached for the flowers for this one.  Hope she likes!
My lovely sister, Alissa is featured today following a sketch by Beggahunna.  I used American Crafts Sunshine Collection for this LO.  The flowers are handmade from Cricut Mother's Day Bouquet and the dress and title are from Cricut Paislee.

Rose within a Rose:

In case you haven't noticed, I have featured flowers this month stretched out over several days.  A couple of lucky ladies in my life will be receiving handmade flowers in their stockings this year.  Everything you have seen so far is a sample of what they will be getting.  Now I know your wondering if they are watching this blog and if I'm spoiling it for them?  Well, one of them is for sure!  Hi, Alissa!! Anyway, I'm just posting samples.  They don't know which ones they are actually getting!!  MUHAHAHA!!!!

Welcome!

Hello, my name is Vivian.  I have been married to my wonderful husband since 2001.  I am also a very proud mother to my little boy, Joscelin.  I have been a scrapbooker since 1998.  My style has changed drastically over the years (for the better I'm sure!!)  With lots of encouragement from family and friends (my husband and sister are my biggest fans) I decided to start this blog featuring my scrap pages and cards.  My favorite subject is my son - yep, I'm biased.   Mostly this blog will be about the challenges that come with scrapping about a boy.  I also have a dog, Sky, and a cat, E.R. who occasionally become my scrappy subjects.  For me, the most difficult subject is myself followed closely by my husband.

But the inner girl in me loves making paper flowers too.  I'm constantly looking for new flowers to make and follow several blogs that I feel appeals to my artistic fingers.  I have also dabbled in the art of quilling and follow many blogs of very talented artists featuring this delicate art of paper rolling.

So, I hope you enjoy my pages and cards and can find inspiration for your own works of art.

Vivian Rose

"Vivian" was made with the BoBunny line Et Cetera following a sketch by Trisha.  The Cricut machine made the scissors, dog, cat, library card and title.  The bling is made from Liquid Pearls dimensional paint.  The flowers are handmade by myself as well as another talented scrapper from which I participated in a flower swap.  There is also hand-stitching (one of my favorite embellishments).

For future posts, I will be taking several pictures featuring different parts of the page.  For now, I will have settle for my first attempt at blogging.
