Spooky!

Hello!

There is so much going on with this layout I'm not sure how to start.

First of all, at this point in time my son had been practicing karate for several months so naturally he wanted to be a ninja for Halloween. So that is a real round-house kick he is doing in his costume.

Secondly, I really wanted to use that tree from Miss Kate Cuttables. I couldn't find a sketch I really liked so I ended up combining a few thoughts from various sketches on my Pinterest board. Also, since I was using a MKC file already, I went ahead and used one of her title files as well. I think it was one of her daily freebies.

Lastly, it has been a LONG time since I scrapped by filling up an entire page. Although I am rather pleased with how this turned out, it does make my inner demon twitch just a little bit.

I am also a new follower of the blog "Use Your Stuff" whose current challenge is Orange, Black and One Neutral Color.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Monday: Merry Christmas

Janet Lewis is someone I've known in the crafty world for a couple years. She's fabulous with challenge blogs that are easy to participate in the challenge.

Her latest challenge blog is "The Merry Christmas Challenge" . . . every Monday, all year long.

I've made several Christmas cards already so it's a little easy for me to participate right now. I've made the cards for SendASmile4Kids, who is also having a Christmas challenge until October 14th. They are not my usual "complicated" cards but they are still sweet all the same.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Supplies:
Silhouette Cameo - svg file of doodling Christmas figures that I welded together.

Stuck?! Sketches: 3MPH

Once upon a time I saw this really cool photo of a skateboarder going down a hill. The photo really looked like he was "moving" . . . the background was nothing but blur.

I tried to recreate this same effect with my son recently. He was only going about 3MPH, parked cars were in the scene and he was more interested in making funny faces.

So, there you have it folks!

Halloween Cards 4 kids

Hello there!!

I recently discovered a great way to not only be a part of card challenges, but also donate most of those cards to an organization called "Send a Smile 4 Kids".

As most of my followers know, I usually make my own die cuts from various artists. But there's something to be said for the "fast and furious" method too. Like using pre-made die cuts I already have in my stash.

I followed sketches from Freshly Made Sketches for these cards.

All of these cards were made from scraps from October Afternoon's Witch Hazel.

Stamp is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

Stamp is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).
