Let Him Sleep

Happy Friday Everyone! I would like to share with you today my latest scrapbook page of my son. I am loving the fact that I can combine my three favorite hobbies in one place.

Die Cutting - the title
Scrapbooking - the layout
Photography - the photo

The photo was actually taken "by accident". My son was resting on a chair in the lobby of French Lick Hotel in French Lick, IN. He is not actually sleeping but I came across this title a few weeks ago and just KNEW I wanted to use it on a LO. Looking back on my other LO's, you know that I rarely make or use long titles on my pages.

Thanks for stopping by today!

SOUS: Something you wear

Go.See.Do

Hello there! Here we are again with this week's DC reveal featuring "something you wear" over at SOUS.

For my project I chose a cowboy hat (to go with the photo) from the Silhouette Studio store. The title is from the store also.

This project I also used the last of my EP "This & That" paper. I really loved that line and may have to go and get me more if I can find it.

I followed this sketch for this layout.

The photo is my son playing in his cowboy hat one beautiful evening last May. Hint: I was practicing my photography at this time too.

Be sure and stop by the SOUS blog for more inspiration by our talented group of ladies!!

"May you always have a reason to have
such a wonderful smile."

SOUS DIE CUT CHALLENGE: SNOWMAN

FAVORITE WINTER MEMORIES

Hello there! Welcome to this week's challenge at SOUS. This week we are to use a die cut of a snowman on any project we desire.

I stumbled across Scrapping Bug Designs and fell in LOVE with the style of die cuts she makes. I made the snowman and bear a couple weeks before I knew what project I was doing!!

Then I had to go shopping for the perfect paper to go with the photo! Poor me, right? I ended up using a mixture of Bo Bunny's Woodland Winter of this year and last year's Powder Mountain line.

I followed this sketch by Sketchy Thursdays.

Thanks for stopping by today!

This was Joscelin's first snow in January 2008. What this
photo means to me is hard to describe. It is one of my favorites.

My sister, my friend

Tomorrow is my sister's birthday. Happy Birthday Sis!!

Today I would like to share with you a rare layout featuring an even rarer photo of my sister and I. Usually the two of us are behind the camera, not in front of it. And not without our families somewhere in it etc etc.

I got to reach for my small stash of girly stuff and handmade flowers. Exciting times!

I used EP: Reflections for this lay out. I just love how this turned out! Too bad the weather is getting bad and the light for taking the picture was less than stellar.

I followed this sketch by rosjen.

SOUS Die Cut Challenge: Snowflake

Stuck On U Sketches

Hello Peeps! Welcome to my blog! Today I would like to share with you SOUS die cut challenge - the snowflake!! We can make any project we like, just have to use a die cut snowflake on it.

Well, here's mine! The entire card is a die cut made from a SVGCUTS file.  Their cards are fun and easy to make!!

The funny thing about this card is that it is all made from paper my sister gave up to me a few years ago. Every now and then I find a great use for it!

I hope I have inspired you in some way. Hop on over to SOUS, if you haven't done so already, for more inspiration from our fabulous die cut team!! We also want to see your snowflake projects as well!!

wrapped with LOVE!

My sister LOVES gingerbread men!!

For this year, we decided to make something for each other instead of buying gifts for one another.  So,  I made her tags to put on gifts. LOL!!

The stamps are from My Craft Spot. The PP are from various 6x6 christmas paper.

P.S. I found tags difficult to photograph. Just couldn't figure out how to make them look right.

This gingerbread is a die cut from My Scrap Chick.

DON'T BE LATE!!

This year my sister and I decided to make gifts for each other instead of buying gifts. So, I made her gift tags! LOL (ah the irony)

The bears are Treasure Box Designs die cuts. I actually made these bears last year. I really LOVE making die cuts almost more than using them on a project.

The stamps are from My Craft Spot.

Follow the Day . . .

. . . and Reach for the Sun!

Hello! Today I am showing you my fourth page featuring our exchange student, Tobias. Once I settled down and decided on the sketch and PP, this LO came together incredibly fast!

The photo of our student was taken September 7th, only a month after Tobias joined our family. This was our first "outing" taking pictures together.  It turns out he and I have a mutual love of photography with very different shooting styles.

I followed this sketch off of Pinterest. The title is the name of a song I love by Polyphonic Spree.

I used Bo Bunny paper mostly from the Weekend Market line.

On a side note, I think I'm going to really enjoy making "teenage boy" layouts. They are challenging and I get to bring out my more grungy style in scrapbooking which took a back burner the last couple years. Of course, I'm not giving up die cuts anytime soon but this LO was definitely fun to make.

Thanks for stopping by today!
